Directions to the downtown event

This event is located in Downtown Long Beach ranked as one of the top 10 downtowns in the nation undergoing the best transformations and revitalization.

AIDS Walk Long Beach is located on the South-West corner of The Pike Shopping Center and Entertainment Complex. The event starts and ends at the corner of Pine Avenue and Shoreline Drive. Parking is available throughout the downtown area.

Access to downtown Long Beach via the 710 Freeway or major streets via the 405 Freeway or 605 Freeway is available from all directions. Long Beach is located as a penisula on the Southwest corner of Los Angeles County. Yes, we are often forgotten as being a part of Los Angeles County. Long Beach is one of few cities in the State of Californian with nearly all of its own self-sufficient municipal systems including one of the best Municipal Transportation Systems and the Blue Line Light Rail Transit Systems.

From Los Angeles:

Head southbound on 710 Freeway and follow to the end of the 710 to Shoreline Drive. The first stop light you come to at the end of the freeway (Shoreline Drive) is S. Pine Avenue. We are at the corner of S. Pine Avenue & Shoreline Drive.

From Orange County:

Head westbound on the 22 Freeway exiting on the 7th Street offramp. Follow 7th Street for 4 miles until you reach Alamitos and turn left at the signal. Heading southbound on Alamitos, cross over Ocean Blvd and follow through on the curved street as it now becomes Shoreline Drive. About 1/2 mile we will be located on the right at the corner of S. Pine Avenue and Shoreline Drive.

Within Long Beach or Adjacent:

Drive toward downtown Long Beach to the main downtown street - Pine Avenue. Cross over Ocean Blvd as this now becomes S. Pine Avenue. About 500 yards on the right is The Pike Shopping Center and Entertainment Complex. We are located on the corner of S. Pine Avenue and Shoreline Drive.
