It's About Change

The Long Beach AIDS Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is the parent organization that hosts AIDS Walk Long Beach.  The Long Beach AIDS Foundation is an all-volunteer organization whose simple purpose is to invest in education, services and prevention in HIV/AIDS with our community partners.

By depending on the volunteerism of the caring community we can ensure that the majority of funds raised go to the agencies that provide direct services to those who are affected or infected with HIV/AIDS.

The Long Beach AIDS Foundation is conducting four major signature fundraising events. Our goal is to simply raise more funds than ever through new initiatives and campaigns. As we develop and transition to additional funding cycles for the future, we are concurrently creating a foundation, developing endowments, and developing ‘outside-the-box-thinking’ on new initiatives that will offer help in critical areas of needs.  Some creative programs will debut for 2006 and others are in various stages of planning or implementation.

Our Signature Programs include:

Casino Night, AIDS Walk Long Beach & Pet Walk, HalloScream and the Foundation Gala.

Additional Programs:

Charity Golf Classic, Macy's Passport Event, and Strides Newsletter & E-Newsletter.

Many other initiative and innovative programs are being developed to make significant impact on HIV/AIDS with our community partners including corporate partners and agencies that provide direct education, services and prevention programs.  By developing funding programs that allow these agencies to make significant and measured impact on HIV/AIDS without overly audited assessments and reports, the Foundation will help to serve the underserved areas of our community through our partners.

Some of these challenges require paradigm shifts and alternative ways of addressing the problems within our communities.  Some of these programs and initiative may be innovative or controversial.  In the end, our only concern is that we achieve results that impact the lives of everyone.  Even though you may not be infected we HIV/AIDS, we are ALL affected by this disease.  This disease impacts everyone directly or indirectly.  Even if you do not know anyone who has HIV/AIDS (which is highly unlikely) everyone of us is affected to some degree.

The Long Beach AIDS Foundation is the only major fundraising organization in the greater South Bay and Long Beach area that works tirelessly to raise funds and make great strides in helping these smaller agencies that provide direct services to the community.
